The Ridings Tablers Chapter 9586 held its regular business meeting on 8 October at the Beverley Masonic Hall, but what a special evening it turnout to be.
The meeting was attended by the ME Grand Superintendent, E. Comp. Dr David Chambers and a large entourage of Provincial Officers including the Deputy Grand Superintendent, E. Comp. Bill Glanville, the 3rd Provincial Grand Principal, E. Comp. Trevor Collinson, our two Assistants to the Grand Principals E. Comps. Martin Monaghan and Hitendra Thacker all under the direction of the Provincial Grand Director of Ceremonies, James Kerr, along with our Past Grand Superintendent, E. Comp Jeffery Gillyon and a host of visitors.
As well as our normal business agenda which saw E. Comp. Fred G Harrison elected as Zerubbabel for the ensuing year E. Comp. Ian R Dixon as Haggai and E. Comp. J Peter Robson as Joshua the M E Grand Superintendent and his Team dedicated the new Ridings Tablers Chapter 9586 Banner in a warm and sincere ceremony. The Banner had been designed by the late E. Comp. Chris Harland and was very kindly sponsored by E. Comp. David Burnett who was the Banner Bearer supported by a Banner Escort of Companions, Ian Brough, Mike Coates, Harry Dyer, Nick Barton and Karl Douglas, whilst E. Comp. Mark Green gave the Address on the history of the Chapter “so far”.
However, The evening was not over as the ME Grand Superintendent, The Deputy Grand Superintendent, the 3rd Provincial Grand Principal and our two Assistants to the Grand Principals then delivered a Certificate Presentation covering a brief history of the formation of the Royal Arch and the Certificate itself to our Companions Harry Dyer, Nick Barton and Karl Douglas.
The evening was topped off with a fantastic Festive Board with over 40 diners all finished by just after 10 pm to round off an excellent occasion for the Ridings Tablers Chapter – onwards and upwards towards our 10th Anniversary Year on 2027.
