The Provincial Grand Master, RW Bro Mark Iveson, accompanied by an active team, enjoyed a wonderful visit to Elmslac Lodge No. 9630 on Wednesday 28 October.
Before the meeting, the brethren were joined by wives and partners for a fascinating talk by the Worshipful Master, W Bro Rick Switzer-Green, on the Imperial German Navy's bombardment of Scarborough in December 1914.
During the meeting, everyone enjoyed hearing about W Bro David Chance's Masonic journey over the past 50 years. The PGM was delighted to present David with a certificate marking this remarkable milestone and congratulated him on reaching 50 years in Freemasonry.
The Worshipful Master then presented the PGM with a generous donation of £1,000 towards Festival 29, for which the PGM expressed his sincere thanks.

The PGM said: "It was a real pleasure to visit Elmslac Lodge and to share in such a special day. Fifty years in Freemasonry is a remarkable achievement, and David's journey is an inspiration to us all. I am also very grateful to the brethren for their generous donation to Festival 29, which will make a real difference."
After the meeting, everyone adjourned to The Feathers for an excellent meal, bringing a thoroughly enjoyable day of history, celebration and friendship to a close.
