WBro John Skeldon , a long standing member of Mitre Lodge of York No 7321 , has attained the singular milestone of 60 years in Freemasonry.

At the meeting of the Lodge held on Wednesday 2nd November WBro Allan Armbrister, Assistant Provincial Grand Master,  presented John with his certificate of service. As part of the presentation he chatted to John about his masonic and professional experiences over the years and his plans for the future.

Although John moved to be near his daughter in Warwickshire in October 2021, plans were afoot for him to be presented with his certificate in York in May 2022. Unfortunately John fell ill shortly before that date and following a hospital stay he subequently required respite care. Through the services of the lodge Almoner, David Marsh, contacts were made in Warwickshire where he has been visited by local masons.  Health permitting, John intends to join a lodge in his new area shortly.
