50th Anniversaries don’t come round very often, but for Richard Ormerod, a member of Marwood Lodge, De Brus Chapter and Redcar Mark Lodge, 2026 is definitely a red-letter year!

He celebrated 50 years in Craft a few years ago and this year in consecutive months 50 years in both Chapter and Mark.

A great evening was held on Tuesday 13th September when Ex Comp Richard PPGSN was presented with his certificate by Ex Comp Phil Stewart PGStB.

After the presentation the Festive Board included a professional singer, who is a Durham Province Companion and Mason, Eric Leighton. In addition, an impromptu performance was given by Ex Comp Mark Tann.

As with such occasions, Cake was centre stage!
