WBro Maurice and Christine Johnson with WBros Chris Blackman & John White

Congratulations to W. Bro Maurice Johnson, a longtime member of St Nicholas Lodge 2586 who now lives in Sleaford, Lincolnshire, on his achievement of 50 years service in Masonry.

Maurice was initiated into Helvetica Lodge 4894 in 1970. He holds London Grand Rank and reached the Provincial Rank of Past Provincial Junior Grand Warden.

Maurice has had a very interesting life, so far! One of Maurice’s real loves in life is magic with his interest beginning when he was ten years old. Maurice maintains his interest and still attends dinners of the Hull Magic Circle.

When living in London, Maurice became a ‘Barker’ when he was an active official in The Variety Club of Great Britain. His list of friends reads like a ‘Who’s Who’ in show business!

Normally the 50 years service certificate would be presented in lodge, however, W. Bros John White and Chris Blackman visited Maurice in person to deliver and present the certificate.  A Personal Card signed by members of St Nicholas and friends of Maurice was handed to Maurice as a token of The Lodge’s appreciation of his support and membership. After a short presentation in a local restaurant Chris and John were delighted to handover the certificate to a very proud Maurice watched by his wife, Christine!
