Middlesbrough Freemasons join forces with the Zetland Ladies’ Club for a successful Heritage Open Day.
Saturday September 9th saw the Masonic Hall in Middlesbrough open it’s doors to all to welcome anyone interested in Freemasonry and the history of the Hall itself, as part of the National Heritage Open Days 2023. Members of the public were invited to come and have a guided tour of the Masonic Hall, and hopefully to have any questions answered that they may have had regarding Freemasonry.
The Lodge Room was laid out for a ceremony, and various regalia was available on display. Inside the Hall, there were also large boards for the public to view, created by W.Bro Bob Harvey, containing information about each of the six Masonic Lodges and the Zetland Ladies’ Club, who regularly meet there.
Refreshments were provided free of charge by the Zetland Ladies’ Club (wives, widows, partners and daughters of Freemasons), who continue to support the Middlesbrough Freemasons, and many enjoyed sampling the many delights of the Cake Stall!
The event was well attended, with over 70 people crossing the doorway to come and have a look around and discover more about Freemasonry.
