"Which Way Now" Event at York

Building on the highly successful event held in 2024, over 150 brethren gathered to hear of the work of the Provincial Support Groups and to participate in workshops relating to the operation of the Province.

This second “Which Way Now” event to be held in the province followed tyhe highly successful event held in 2024. The event welcomed 150 delegates from around the Province.

Opened by the Provincial Grand Master, the agenda included presentations by the PSG leads during the morning and break out sessions during the afternoon.

Following an introductory presentation from Tony Randle "What is a PSG?", Mark Iveson kicked off the PSG leads presentations with an engaging talk about the Membership PSG. This was followed by presentations on the Secretriat, Charity, Community Engagement, Lodge and Chapter Support, Communications, Events and Facilities PSGs by Tony Stevenson, Des McKenzie, John Davison, Hiten Thaker, Chris Ansell, Harry Elliott and John Broughton respectively.

The afternoon session comprised 45-minute workshops/presentations in the areas of Information for Representative of the PGM/MEGS, WM & MEZ Training, Secretary’s Training, Community Engagement and Almoner Training.

Martin Eggermont, Festival 29 Chair, then gave an update on the Festival's progress. This was followed by a thought provoking presentation by Gary Calder ”My Life Story and troubles with Mental Health".

In a unique addition to the proceedings, 31 brethren received Solomon Certificates from the Provincial Grand Master, as well as a Festival certificate presentation to the Lodge of St Germain.

Feedback has once again been universally positive. The clear presentations and workshops, with the chance to ask questions informally over lunch and in the afternoon sessions, was appreciated by the delegates. The day successfully updated the brethren on the work of our Support Groups.
