A special night at the July meeting of Roseberry Lodge of Installed Masters, with the business of the evening in two parts.

Assistant Grand Director of Ceremonies WBro. Simon Darbyshire introduced R W Bro. John Paul Thompson, Assistant Grand Master, to the meeting who gave a talk entitled "So.....what do you actually do"

John described his career and path through Freemasonry having been Provincial Grand Master of the Province of Durham before moving to his Grand Lodge position and duties.

The next business of the evening was to present a 60 years Service Certificate and lapel pin to Very Worshipful Brother Charles Sheldon Marshall, Past Grand Sword Bearer. The presentation was performed by WBro. Martin Eggermont, Assistant Provincial Grand Master,  who detailed the masonic journey of Charles, who then made a very gracious reply.
