Rishi Sunak visited Yatton House on Friday, December 6, to inaugurate the much need new quarter of a million pound extension.

Yatton House offers daily activities for adults with severe learning and/or physical disabilities living in North Yorkshire. It is located in the village of Great Ayton, in Mr Sunak’s constituency of Richmond.

Andrew Watson, the Charity Steward of Ayton Lodge 9595 (in the centre of the picture) and the Master, Chris Hall, took the opportunity to acquaint the ex-PM as to the £3,000+ funding that the Lodge has given to Yatton House in the past, and that the latest Masonic funding of £870 to purchase a vast array of video/ studio equipment was a joint venture between the Lodge and FCYNER and part of the continuous involvement of the Lodge into the local community and its needs.

Members of Yatton House have severe learning and/or physical disabilities and face challenges when navigating the modern world, and this video/studio equipment is planned to let them share their experiences, raise disability awareness and showcase their creations and achievements via social media such as YouTube and Tik-Tok.
