Saturday 18th of April saw the Lodge of St Germain celebrate their traditional Ladies Evening at the Selby Bowling Club. 68 brethren, guests and partners enjoyed a buck’s fizz welcome reception before joining the Worshipful Master Duncan and his wife Gillie in the Banqueting Suite for the formal dinner and entertainment.

The Brethren were headed by the Worshipful Master in full highland dress and the Ladies suitably dressed to impress. Following a splendid dinner and speeches, the Ladies were toasted and suitable gifts and flowers distributed. On behalf of the Ladies, Gillie responded to the Ladies Toast, and Mrs Jean Dunn, wife of our Senior Warden, thanked everyone in attendance and the Worshipful Master and Gillie for the Ladies Gifts.

Following dinner and being suitably watered, DJ Asley fired up his disco and the dance floor soon filled up. The evening ended at midnight with “Old Lang Syne”, and was a wonderful celebration of friendship, tradition, and the warmth that defines the Lodge of St Germain. A special evening put together with care and attention to detail that celebrated the support, understanding and patience of our Ladies.
