Lennox Lodge No123, under the leadership of their newly installed WM, W.Bro. Andy Browell and an extensive team of willing volunteers, held its annual Lodge open day on Saturday 31st May 2025 in Richmond.
The Lodge is a little way off the main town centre and as a way of signposting more people to the event, the Lodge created a mini stall in the main market place as a way to raise the profile of the event and to signpost people to the Lodge. This has proven to be an effective method of increasing the number of visitors, and is a technique taken from the Provincial Community Engagement Tool-Kit.
Featured in the photo is the team manning the stall located outside the Green Howards Museum, is W.Bro. David Wright (IPM), Bro. Carl Tate (JW and Mayor of Richmond), Bro.Mark Jones and W.Bro. Paul Hunt, with his trainee Guide Dog.
Lodge open days are an important part of the Lodge's community engagement strategy as they play a vital part in helping to raise its profile in the community and help attract new members. Bro. Carl Tate is the Lodge's Community Engagement Lead.
It was a very successful event, and thanks to all who helped make it happen.
