On Wednesday 11th Feb 2026, W Bro Howard Christopher Bean was installed into the chair of King Solomon at Handyside Lodge No.1618 for the second time and starts a year of celebration marking the lodge's 150th year.

The lodge was well attended by many distinguished guests and visitors and a cheque for £250 was presented to the Representative of the Assistant Provincial Grand Master Officer in Charge W Bro Tony Dyer, going towards the YNER festival 2029. Unfortunately the Worshipful Master could not attend due to ill health but his Immediate Past Master W Bro Dennis Hardy stood in at very short notice and did a fantastic job as the Installing Master.

W Bro Bean commented: "It was fantastic to see so many at the lodge supporting my installation".

The festive board was most convivial with the sound of everyone enjoying themselves over a fabulous 3 course meal by Elaine the resident caterer.
