The Grand Officers Mess held on 27 June 2025 at Castlegate House welcomed W Bro Matthew Christmas, Metropolitan Grand Secretary and Scribe E, as guest speaker.

W Bro Christmas, for many years a secondary school teacher including a period as Head of a school in Kenya,  spoke about his personal views on the next 25 years of Craft Freemasonry under UGLE, and how the next generation of younger members preserves the traditions of the Order while embracing modern technologies of communication.
