Worshipful Master Mick Lynch is approaching the end of his highly successful year as Worshipful Master of Beresford-Peirse No2610 in Bedale.
Pictured above, Mick is presiding over a presentation of £600 to W.Bro Colin Blanchard, Chairman of Snape Men's Shed by our Charity Steward Bro Matt Connolly. Snape Men's Shed is a [currently] small group of enthusiastic men who meet twice weekly in Snape, nr Bedale to create items in wood, bird boxes, repairing garden furniture, indoor furniture, etc. Funds have all been self raised through sales of items, repairs and sales of kindling, the Shed was formed 2 years ago, in a loaned workshop, and they are about to commence the build of their own 40ft x 28ft workshop on land which has been donated by a kind benefactor in the village. They will be attracting further Members when the Shed is built, as there are 20 small towns and villages within 5 miles radius of Snape.
This is only one of several presentations made by Beresford-Peirse during Mick's year, other donations have been made to Snape Institute £300; £340 to Bedale Christmas Festival; Hambleton Athletics & Running Club meeting in the DalesCentre, Bedale £ 250.00; £250.00 to the Ladies Section of Bedale Cricket Club. in addition to these donations, the Worshipful Master has arranged two very successful social functions raising a further £2000 for the Army Benevolent Fund and the PTSD Resolution Society.
