Yatton House was formed in 1981, to help adults with learning and physical disabilities to realise their full potential by providing activities and opportunities which enable members to lead independent and fulfilling lives.
Outcome focussed programs are tailored to the individual needs of each of the members and aimed at enhancing and developing life skills. This is acheived through a series of centre and community based activities which promote inclusion, support health and wellbeing and build confidence. Each of the members are enrolled into one of 3 Learning Pathways; Health and Wellbeing, Independence or Enterprise with achievable and measurable outcomes tailored to their individual needs.
The Society plans to provide opportunity and experience through a structure, using Yatton House media channels that enables their members to have a digital presence, but this required £870 of specialised equipment that is easy to use.
As they have successfully done in the past, Yatton House approached the Freemasons in Ayton Lodge for assistance towards this goal. Ayton Lodge then applied to FCYNER, and between them the required funds were made available. And as the pictures show the members are using it very professionally.
