Travelling Sceptre liberated from Richmond

 67481eadc4446 travelling sceptre liberated 27th november 2024

Having heard of the Travelling Sceptre initiative launched at the recent Provincial Convocation members of Anchor Chapter 1337 were eager to avail themselves of the opportunity to sojourn within the Province and liberate the Northern Area Sceptre at the earliest opportunity.

And so on Wednesday 27th of November 5 members of the chapter E.Comp Steve Kennedy 'MEZ', E.Comp Craig Spence 'J', E.Comp Fred Heaton 'IPZ', E.Comp Richard Shuttleworth 'DC' and E.Comp Mark Hall braved wintry conditions and travelled to Lennox Chapter 123 and liberated the traveling sceptre from its temporary home in Richmond.

Carrying it with all due awe and reverence to the Masonic Hall in Northallerton where it will be displayed with pride until such time as it may be handed to any chapter who's members may rise to the challenge and take it to a new temporary home.

For the information of any potential challengers the first opportunity to do so will be at the next Anchor Chapter meeting which will be held on the last Friday of March 2025.

The MEZ and his Co-principals, along with all members of the Chapter look forward to greeting any potential challengers on the night.
