A memorable Convocation at Wilberforce Chapter  on 13 August saw E.Comp Bill Glanville invested as Deputy Grand Superintendent by MEGS Dr David Chambers.

The evening also saw the mid-term appointments of E.Comp Nick Mitchell as Provincial Grand Chapter Membership Officer and E.Comp Neil Armstrong as Provincial Grand Chapter Mentor. Our warmest congratulations to all.

The evening also featured an excellent Exaltation ceremony, and the Chapter proceedings were capped off with a magnificent demonstration of the Ceremony of the Veils by members of the Provincial Grand Stewards Chapter. At a most convivial festive board (thankfully a cold buffet on one of the warmest nights of the year), a raffle raised £250 for Festival 29, as well as support for a local animal welfare cause. In his toast resoponse the MEGS paid warm tribute to outgoing DGS Pat Cambage and was pleased also to receive one of the new Cornerstone Circle lapel pins from Comp James Wright.
