Yorkshire North & East Ridings Freemasons

Widows Sons ride out

Parisi chapter

The Parisi chapter L10011 of the Widows Sons Masonic Bikers association (WSMBA) had the pleasure of escorting the ‘Great Provincial Ride Out for Warwickshire’ recently.

As part of their Festival... members of the Warwickshire Freemasons WSMBA took to the road on their motorcycles to visit a lodge in each and every province in the UK under the UGLE banner.

First, meeting up with other members at Whitby and then heading to Middlesbrough to meet with the travelling brethren. The ride was uneventful… other than a near miss with a deer at Scaling dam, Whitby!

Meeting with the Warwickshire WSMBA members at, Middlesborough we were met with some bad news, one of their bikes had been stolen overnight, fortunately an escort vehicle was in attendance… so no one was left stranded.

From Middlesbrough into Saltburn to the Huntcliff Lodge, where we received a great welcome from the local brethren. Tea, coffee and biscuits were gratefully received.

The next leg of the journey was to Sunderland where we would hand over the escort to Durham and Northumberland. We had a nice ten-minute chat with our friends from further north and then headed for breakfast at the American Diner.

Good luck to Warwickshire on their forward journey, it was a real pleasure to meet you and we all hope that you not only complete the journey on time but have fun in the process, oh, and we really hope that you get the bike back!
