The two Jewels held by W. Bro. Ian Lince, with David on the right and Assistant PGM Martin Eggermont on the Left.
The PM of De Brus Lodge has two Past Master's Jewels.
Whist that is not unique it has an extra special meaning for David Humphreys.
He was Master at the now closed Dales Lodge 9554 of Richmond and transferred to De Brus 4244 in Redcar where his Grandfather, Oswald Humphreys and Father, Gethin Humphreys were Masters in 1944/5 and 1960/1 respectively. With David being the third Humphreys name to be added to the Past Masters Board it is something that will not have happened very often within Freemasonry.
Luckily, he has both their Past Master's Jewels and now has the pleasure of wearing one of them at events, as both were presented officially to him at the Installation of W Bro. Ian Lince at the November De Brus Installation meeting.
