At the February meeting of Ronaldshay Lodge at Roman Road in Middlesbrough a special demonstration was performed by members of Marwood Lodge assisted by the officers of Ronaldshay.
The Assistant Provincial Grand Master, Denis Stubley made an appearance at short notice with a team of active Provincial Officers to witness the evening’s event.
W Bro. Ray Douglas of Marwood Lodge used all his skills to produce artefacts representing those mentioned in the First Degree Tracing Board.
The presentation was two years in the making and incorporates a 19th Century lecture ( written approx. 1870 ) to describe the tracing board and introduce the various components. When the lecture ends the artefacts cover the whole of the square carpet in the lodge room.
The image above shows those taking part being congratulated by the APGM who is seen shaking hands with the WM of Ronaldshay, Paul Surtees. The architect of the artefacts, Ray Douglas is seen in the blue collar standing behind the WMs left shoulder.
The presentation was first performed to mark the 150th. celebration meeting off the Marwood Lodge of Instruction. The lodge have been invited to give the presentation on numerous occasions and are soon to travel to a lodge in Kent to further establish their reputation.
Below we can see the equipment in use to raise Denis to loftier heights!
