At the Regular Meeting of Mitre Lodge of York on Wed 7th Dec , WBro James Mackman was presented with his certificate commemorating his 50 years of continuous service to Freemasonry.

James was initiated into Hull Old Grammarian Lodge in June 1972 and took that chair in 1984.

His talent for numbers was immediately spotted and he has been elected Treasurer of the Lodge 39 times!

In addition, he is Treasurer of Mitre Lodge and St Saviour Lodge of Installed Masters.

Outside masonry, James is fully occupied as Clerk to 3 parish councils.

 The Lodge hosted a regular Fraternal Visit from St Michaels Lodge based at Castlegrove in Leeds whose current WM is Tony Llewellyn, Past APGM in the Province of Yorkshire West Riding.
