Middlesbrough, Stockton, Redcar & Cleveland councils encourage households to go green and support their local charity at the same time. Team Teesside Volunteers worked with The Christmas Tree recycle campaign, this involved the collection and chipping of over 2250 Christmas trees.
The company of Bro. Iain Graham of Hazelgrove Lodge Saltburn provided all the necessary equipment and staff for the chipping, which will be recycled to use in local parks.
The groups involved in making this campaign such a success are: - Teesside Hospice; Just Helping; Oakdale NE Ltd; Yarm Distillery; Northgate Vehicle Hire; On-a-Roll Sandwich company.
The local community of Teesside have supported Teesside Hospice for over 40 years in many different ways. The collection contributed massively to the income of the hospice, raising £29,425 (yes that figure is correct) and the Hospice greatly appreciates all fundraising efforts.
