Fred Payne receives his certificate

In November 94 year-old  W.Bro. Fred Payne PPJGSwdB was delighted by a visit from some members of his own lodge, Hazelgrove 6542.  W.Bro Patrick Cambage PAGDC & Deputy Grand Superintendent of YNER, W. Bro Colin Reynolds PPJGW, W. Bro Steve Golden Almoner and his friend Bro Dalton Peak from The Friendly Lodge 1513 YWR.

They were there to present Fred with his certificate having reachedfifty years in the Craft.

Fred was Master in the lodge 1991-92. He was a regular attender until the dark winters nights on country roads from Sleights to Saltburn sent Fred into a skid in his car. Fred then decided Saltburn was a little too far to travel. He still, until recent times travelled to Whitby lodges and is a member of Streonshalh Mark.

Fred moved to Sleights from Marske for a temporary move and has been there thirty two years.

We all congratulate Fred on a fantastic achievement of fifty years in Masonry and wish him good health for the future.
