Ferrum Lodge along with matched funding applications from Freemason’s Charity of Yorkshire North & East Ridings and the Masonic Charitable Foundation donate £860 towards the purchase of a Community Defibrillator at St Cuthbert’s Parish Centre, Marton.

The donation was made following a letter received from the Parochial Church Council (PCC) of Marton in Cleveland with Easterside and enabled the successful installation of a community defibrillator much sooner than was originally anticipated. The remainder of funds raised by St Cuthbert’s Church for the project can now be used to cover ongoing maintenance costs.

Mrs Freda Ford, Parish Secretary and project leader said, “We’re so grateful to the Ferrum Lodge, the Freemason’s Charity of Yorkshire North & East Ridings, and the Masonic Charitable Foundation for their tremendous support which means that this vital life-saving service is now available to the community of Marton. This is a great example of what partnership can achieve.”
