Middlesbrough Freemasons turned out in force again for the Acklam lodge summer walk across the North York Moors on Saturday June 24th.
The 8 mile yomp through the Esk Valley which has been a yearly occurrence (2020 aside) since 2012 seems to grow more popular each year with the event selling out 6 weeks prior to the big day at 150 strong with those walking ranging in age from 8 years to 80 years young.
The day as always was split into two parts, the picturesque walk through the National park with its 8 charming public houses followed by an evening back at M’bro Masonic Hall for food and live entertainment and a little more alcohol for those who hadn’t quite quenched their thirst on the walk.
When the dust settled and the hangovers cleared, local Teesside charities will benefit to the tune of around £1700.
Bring on 2024!
