The War of the Roses sees Provinces from Yorkshire and Lancashire compete in a 30 Bird Sporting Competition.

The top six shooters from each of the Counties then compete for the trophy this year, our Club Secretary Kevin Stephen was selected to shoot for Yorkshire and was the Provinces “Top Gun”.

There were five shooters from the Province WBro Kevin Stephen, WBro Mike Parker, WBro Fred Smith, WBro John Wilde and Bro David Saunders.

Everyone enjoyed the day, blessed with good weather, good friends and enjoying the sport they love.

Lancashire won the competition overall.  Individual top scores, all with 44  were Richard Dennison & Jason Rhodes both Lancashire,  John Broadhead for Yorkshire

The Provinces are always looking for more Brethren to join them in upcoming competitions – you don’t have to be a great shot, just enjoy great days out with likeminded Brethren, enjoying the sport of Clay Shooting.
