On Saturday 8th of November, Zetland Lodge 561 held its annual Charity Night, where funds that were bequeathed by the late W Bro Alec Smith were presented to 16 local charities.

The Charities ranged from the RNLI to Primary Schools, Multiple Sclerosis, Cancer Care and many other worthy causes. This was the fourth year of the Charity Night, with a running total of £54k awarded to approximately 64 charities over this period. The night was most enjoyable and entertaining due to the organisation and presentation of our brilliant Charity Steward - W Bro Andy Hill, ably assisted by members and wives of the lodge. The evening was attended by a good friend of Zetland Lodge, W Bro Martin Eggermont APGM and his wife Irene. W Bro Martin gave the words of welcome from the Province of YNER at the start, and also the closing remarks at the end of the evening.
