The first of three Training & Information Sessions for Lodge and Chapter Charity Stewards took place at Middlesbrough Masonic Hall on Saturday 8 February, with over 20 delegates in attendance.
Led by Provincial Charity Steward Des McKenzie, the seminar offered the opportunity for delegates to learn more about recent activities in the Province as well as the role of the Charity Steward. Presentations from FCYNER and Provincial Comms (Bill Fisher and Chris Ansell) were followed by 1:1 breakout sessions in which delegates could talk directly to the speakers and ask questions. The breakouts were followed by further talks on Community Engagement (John Davison) and Festival 29 (John Murphy), wrapping up with a lively Q&A.
Feedback from this event has been excellent and there are two further events planned for 15 February (Hull) and 22 February (York).
