On Sunday the 30th of June 2024 at 9:00 am prompt the Peace Lodge annual provincial charity walk was held.
This walk has been taking place since 1996 with two years out due to COVID. 36 walkers from our province set out to complete the Rievaulx Moor circular which is 4 miles north of Helmsley starting at New gate forest car park and was completed by all the walkers, who ranged in age from 86 to nine years old. Although it was ideal walking weather, cool but dry, all the walkers managed to complete the 10 mile course by 1:00 pm.
Our numbers are down since COVID so we give advance notice that next year's walk will be held on Sunday 29th of June 2025 and will again be a circular walk around Sutton bank National Park centre between Thirsk and Helmsley. Please join us for a fun event - you will not find an easier way to raise funds for your lodge province and the festival! The Peace Lodge looks forward to your company in 2025.
