On the evening of 12th December 2025, The North York Lodge 602 had the honour of entertaining Assistant Provincial Grand Master W Bro Martin Eggermont and a team of active officers at the Festival of Installation.
Brother Raymond Stangoe had reached a milestone in his Masonic career, having been elected to be the Worshipful Master of the North York Lodge 602 in year 2025-26. Whilst not being a remarkable event in itself, it is worth noting that Ray had recently completed an intense course of Radiotherapy which could well have had a serious impact on his Masonic plans had the news he received not been positive.
W.Bro Ray's evening was supported by brethren from many Lodges and nearly sixty Brethren enjoyed a convivial evening with excellent food served by the caterers of Middlesbrough Masonic Hall.

During the evening the Assistant Provincial Grand Master kindly agreed to present W.Bro Geoff Mankin with his Solomon Diploma and lapel pin badge (The sixth member of North York Lodge to have been awarded the Diploma) and also Bro. Mark Sowerby received his Cornerstone representative Badge from W.Bro Nigel Lemmy ( Provincial Cornerstone Lead). Mark is very engaged with the Cornerstone Circle and he makes sure everyone in the North York Lodge is fully appraised of the good work being done in that field.
