WBro John Kettlewell, PPJGW, has reached the magnificent milestone of 50 years in the Craft.

John was born in Scarborough in 1937. After “O” and “A” levels he attended the school of architecture and building at the Northern Polytechnic in Holloway, London in the mid 1950’s. During this time and the subsequent two years he passed the examinations to become a chartered quantity surveyor, (RICS), and worked variously for the Hull City Council, East Riding of Yorkshire County Council and subsequently at Humberside County Council architect’s department where he retired in 1996 as The Assistant Chief Property Services Officer. John then worked for a private firm of quantity surveyors  in Hull for two years before retiring completely in 1998.

John married Kathleen in 1963 and they have two sons and a daughter and five grand cildren and two great grand children. John joined Constitutional Lodge No 294 on 7 March 1974 so the 50 years membership took place exactly 50 years later on 7 March 2024. John was W.M. in 1996 and has been MEZ twice for the Chapter.

The Province sends John  hearty congratulations on his Masonic milestone. Our picture shows Deputy PGM Jonathan Smith presenting John with his certificate.
