WBro Peter Odling recently celebrated his 90th birthday with a visit to Vulcan XH558 at Robin Hood Airport, arranged by members of Falcon Lodge.

Another surprise was in store for Peter at the March meeting of Falcon Lodge, Thirsk, when the Deputy Provincial Grand Master, WBro Bill Glanville and a team of active officers, were in attendance.

Peter was a Vulcan pilot in the early 1960s and a congratulatory letter from the present Commanding Officer of Peter's old squadron, 617 (Dambusters) Squadron, was read to the brethren, who gave Peter a standing ovation.

WBro Bill then conveyed a field promotion to the rank of Past Provincial Junior Grand Warden, to the delight of all present.
